Ways to Give
Gilda’s Club is a non-profit cancer support community where
men, women and children living with all types of cancer, and
their families and friends, come together for emotional and
social support as an adjunct to medical care.
In order to sustain our unique program, Gilda’s Club Board
members, staff and volunteers work hard to build a financial
foundation that allows us to offer our free program to members.
That includes solicitation of donations from individuals,
corporations, grants and foundations. However, in keeping
with our philosophy of a free program, Gilda’s Club does
not charge fees to its members . However, we do welcome and
appreciate financial contributions from all sources to help in
our fundraising efforts.
Make a donation – Financial contributions are the most critical as they help ensure your local chapter is able to support the needs of the community. There are a variety of financial ways to support efforts in the community, including cash donations and pledges, planned giving, matching gifts and stock donations. DONATE NOW!!!
Matching gifts – Double your donation to Gilda's Club Metro Detroit. Check with your human resources staff to see if your employer participates in an employee matching program.
Corporate sponsorships
– Show your company's support of Gilda’s Club by sponsoring one of our events or programs. Corporate sponsorships are a great way to demonstrate your organization's commitment to the community. Many sponsorship levels are available.
Third party events - Choose Gilda’s Club as your charity of choice for your next school, organization or business fundraiser. A few examples of great fundraising activities include bake sales, corporate dress down days, walk-a-thons, car washes, game nights and dinner/dances. These events not only assist in raising much-needed funds but also provide opportunities to increase awareness of our free cancer support program.
Brick pavers - Honor your loved one by purchasing a brick in
Gilda's Garden. Your gift will be there for years to come in our very special and peaceful garden full of beautiful plants and flowers. Call us for details.
Employee giving program – Offer employees a choice in the nonprofits they can support. Simple payroll deductions help increase morale and goodwill with employees and the community.
Volunteer – A variety of opportunities enables hundreds of people in southeastern Michigan to volunteer each year. Group volunteer projects are also available.
Young Adult Council – A hip, new opportunity for young adults to support people with cancer. Network with other young professionals at social events, volunteer activities and special projects while raising awareness and funds for Gilda’s Club.
In-kind donations – Check out our wish list to see if there's anything you can give.
