Whether you’re looking for something classic or out of the ordinary, CUP.CAKE has created dozens of new cupcake recipes which are likely to satisfy everyone’s tastes. This new Royal Oak bakery seemed to be the perfect fit when brother and sister, Leon Ochoa and Eva Watt began their collaboration efforts to start something new in the culinary field.  

CUP.CAKE has perfected their every day recipes of chocolate, vanilla and red velvet cupcakes, but has also taken other uncommon flavors and turned them into delicious baked goods. Every day, in addition to the daily flavors offered, the shop offers two specialty flavored cupcakes, with flavors that have so far included Maple Bacon, PBJ, Strawberry, Tiramisu, Coconut and Mojito

This bakery is not afraid to try new recipes. Even when catering to weddings, business events, graduations, and other events, CUP.CAKE will try out new recipes and custom designs on your request.

It’s not just the cupcakes and other baked goods that make this bakery so sweet, but the desire of the owners to help out in the community. CUP.CAKE has already become a sponsor for this year’s Big Night Out event, an annual premier fundraising event for Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit.

After hearing about Gilda’s Club and Big Night Out from Stephen Fleck, co-owner of Changez Salon in Royal Oak, who is also an avid Gilda’s and Big Night Out supporter, Watt instantly new of the great opportunity to help and began offering to donate to the event.

“Both my mother and mother-in-law had breast cancer,” said Watt, “so I know it’s a great cause to be a part of.”

Watt is very enthusiastic about being a part of Big Night Out, and is looking forward to helping out where she can.

Gilda's Club Metro Detroit provides free social and emotional support for men, women and children living with cancer, their families and friends. Each month, Gilda’s Club hosts over 150 support and networking groups, education lectures, children and teen activities, workshops and social activities. In 2009, Gilda’s Club welcomed over 14,000 visits to the clubhouse.
