2025 continued to bring immeasurable impact to our community.
BEREAVEMENT PROGRAMS
We have focused on the growth of our Bereavement program, achieving outstanding results. The number of first-time bereaved participants saw a 11.5% increase to 58 new individuals, while our overall Bereavement program attendance soared by 92% to 764 visits. This remarkable growth is part of a broader strategy to increase access to vital mental health services for those impacted by cancer.
GILDA’S AROUND TOWN
We have expanded our reach through Gilda’s Around Town (GAT), dedicated to meeting members where they are. Current GAT program locations now include Warren, Novi, and Ferndale, which is in addition to our established sites in Detroit, Royal Oak, Grosse Pointe and our thriving virtual community.
DETROIT PARTNERSHIPS
We have made significant strides in strengthening our presence and accessibility in Detroit through increased partnerships with key community organizations. By focusing on collaboration, we are better able to serve members where they live and access care. Our current partnerships in the city include the Healthier Black Elders Center, Taylor Street Primary Care Clinic, Dedicated Senior Medical Center, Lori’s Hands, Central City Health, and Cass Community Social Services.
